The Spanish Ship Suppliers Association (A.E.S.MAR) was founded in 1.977 with the purpose of bringing together all the Spanish companies dedicated to marine supply business in order to represent this group both nationally as well as internationally.

Throughout its 40-year history, A.E.S.MAR has undertaken innumerable actions in order to defend the interest of the maritime supply sector, as well as obtaining the recognition of the most prestigious national and international associations.

Currently the association includes around 50 members with presence in all the commercial ports of the Spanish territory. These companies represent a workforce of more than 1.000 professionals who contribute with delivering service which is key for the correct functioning and performance of the Spanish ports and the European maritime world. 

The long tradition of the Spanish maritime suppliers together with the growth and strength fostered in the Spanish Maritime industry over the last 50 years has allowed the members of A.E.S.MAR to be able to render a WORLD CLASS SERVICE at the highest level, aligned with the leading companies of the industry globally. In fact, some of our members include companies with international presence beyond our borders and are included as an industry reference in Europe.

From A.E.S.MAR we think that QUALITY and COMPETITIVENESS are the landmarks that guarantee sustainability and further development of an industry segment which is more than 5.000 years old (remarkably even the Phoenician civilization reported the existence and location of ship suppliers).

A.E.S.MAR is fully recognized and integrated in the International Ship Suppliers Association (ISSA), based in London, UK with presence in 43 countries with more than 2.000 active members carefully admitted after due diligence and history analysis.
European Ship Suppliers Organization
A.E.S.MAR is an active member of OCEAN (Organisation de la Communauté Européenne des Avitailleurs de Navires), an organization which works closely with World Customs Organization, among other entities.
